Shreyas Patel

Shreyas contributes to the rover’s structural design and to the simulation environment used to understand it. His mechanical work includes CAD assemblies, stress analysis and suspension reinforcement. He has also documented the team’s ROS 2 integration in Gazebo and RViz, bringing cameras, lidar, coordinate frames and the robotic arm into a shared model.

That combination is useful at the boundary between departments: physical geometry must agree with the transforms and sensor data used by software. His work connects those representations so mechanical development and perception testing can inform one another.
