Naveen Kumar Shivakumar

Naveen joined the mechanical effort through battery mounting before moving into the LEAP-One drill. His public updates describe the challenge of achieving useful soil penetration within tight space constraints. The work involves prototyping, torque transmission and testing what happens when the mechanism meets real material.

He has also worked on a modular, entirely mechanical extension to a wind-powered water pump for the Ingenieure ohne Grenzen Challenge. That project shares a practical concern with his rover work: making a mechanism serviceable and effective without adding unnecessary complexity.
