Alexander Kolbai

Alexander brings an industry perspective to the principal-advisor team, supporting the programme’s attention to manufacturing, tolerances and the practical robustness of its hardware. His contribution complements the university’s academic guidance with experience of how engineering concepts meet industrial constraints.

His research connections extend into autonomous mobility. He coauthored work with Swaraj Tendulkar, Mayank Khandelwal and Professor Schrödel on interoperability between automobiles and mobile robots for affordable last-mile delivery. That work examines shared software, communication and infrastructure—questions that also matter when separate robotic systems must function together.
